Job Summary: The Human Resources Generalist will execute a variety of HR initiatives, including employee relations, compensation and salary administration, recruiting and reporting. This is a hands-on role that combines HR expertise with operations, training, organizational development and other administrative functions.

Employee Relations
Ensure appropriate, legal and consistent employee relations practices
Keep executive staff and management aware of employee relations issues as they occur for guidance and consistency with company-wide policy and practices
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and trends by knowing employment law and latest employee relations solutions, attending credible benchmarking sessions and networking with human resources professionals
Oversees the new employee recruiting process
Development and execution of employee retention plans and efforts

Training & Development
Facilitates the firm’s Training Committee to develop a training curriculum
Oversees and executes all aspects of the firm’s new employee orientation program, summer training series and miscellaneous training throughout the year
Responsible for entering in CPE to tracking software and ensuring compliance with firm training requirements

Compensation and Salary Administration
Administer the annual performance management process linking performance to compensation
Manage the salary administration process by reviewing and making recommendations for salary increases, job evaluations and proper benchmarking
Collaborates with immigration attorney for employee-based immigration matters, visa processing, etc.

Administration and Reporting
Maintain accurate, confidential, legally compliant and functional employee files
Communicate, update and reinforce policies
Provide recommendations for changes and enhancements; being proactive or reactive to employee needs, local trends and organizational needs
Ensure compliance with state and federal employment, benefit and wage laws and guidelines, including posting, reporting, etc.
Provide regular and as requested reports to executive staff on employment activity
Provide regular and requested input to Company management reports and HRIS database
Plays a lead role in the firm’s training committee and serves as administrator for the CPE tracking software
Coordinates all aspects of the NextGen Council
Other operational duties, including but not limited to:
Firm event planning
Vendor relationships (i.e. food and beverage supplies, office supplies, etc.)
Building management: serves as point of contact for property manager
Other
Other administrative duties as assigned, including but not limited to:
Form AP filings
Client billing
Expense reports
Booking travel

Requirements & Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following basic qualifications:
A working knowledge of federal and state employment/ labor laws, FMLA, LOA, and worker’s compensation
Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Experience in general administrative functions
Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills
Strong generalist background in a growth-oriented, fast-paced environment
Ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment
Professionalism, dependability, integrity and trustworthiness combined with a cooperative attitude
Highly motivated self starter with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years Human Resources experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs
Education and Licenses:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field is highly preferred
