Houston, TX, December 20, 2017 – MaloneBailey, LLP, a full-service public accounting firm based in Houston, Texas, announced today that George Qin, Audit Partner, was invited and attended the Greater Houston Partnership (GHP) Houston Trade & Investment Mission to China. The trip took place from December 2-9, 2017, as the group traveled to Shenzhen, Shanghai and Beijing, China.
The mission to China, led by Houston’s Mayor, Sylvester Turner, provided an opportunity for participants to represent Houston and build connections with some of the top business and political leaders in Shenzhen, Shanghai and Beijing. It included a week of high-level meetings with government officials and business leaders from the energy, manufacturing, education, healthcare, infrastructure and financial industries.
According to GHP, China is Houston’s second largest international trade partner and one of the fastest growing economies in the world. Total trade between Houston and China has more than doubled in recent years, from $9.1 billion in 2010 to $18.4 billion in 2016.
