Reports to: Partners and Managers

Job Summary: 
The Senior Tax Auditor participates in and leads staff on tax audit engagements. The Senior Tax Auditor is afforded the opportunity to undertake more challenging assignments, clients and staff responsibilites relating to tax audit procedures.

The Tax Audit Manager develops a project vision and set challenging personal and team goals. Plan, execute and complete external audits in a wide variety of industries. Review all work before submission to Audit Partner for further review.

Salary Range and Benefits: Commensurate with experience, standard firm benefits

Hours Required: 40 hrs

Major Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Prepare/review tax workpapers and assist with audit team in meeting tax related audit requirements
  • Interpret PRC tax laws and regulations, and apply them to auditing procedures
  • Lead client’s tax audit engagements, which include planning, executing, directing, and completing tax audits
  • Supervise, train and mentor associates and interns on tax audit process
  • Research and analyze financial statement and tax audit related issues
  • Proactively interact with key client’s management to gather information, resolve problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements
  • Perform other job-related duties as necessary

Requirements & Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • At least 4 years(senior level) / 5 years(manager level) of recent work experience in tax department at a public accounting firm
  • Demonstrated knowledge of tax, basic business, technology, and audit principles/standards
  • Basic technology skills, with proficiency in Excel and Word
  • Native fluency in Mandarin
  • Demonstrated knowledge of PCAOB auditing standards and US GAAP is a plus

Education and Licenses:

  • BS or MS in Accounting from an accredited college or university worldwide
  • CICPA is preferred; actively working toward AICPA certification is a plus
